A Fractured House

S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson, aware that Senator Ward's proposal will be devastating for the remaining S.H.I.E.L.D. agents if it comes to fruition, tells agents around the world to "go dark", including Agent Walters of the Netherlands, who he orders to a safe house in Brussels, Belgium. Coulson then visits Senator Ward himself, and convinces him to publicly give support to S.H.I.E.L.D. and decry Hydra, in exchange for Coulson handing custody of Grant over to him. Ever since Senator Ward first publicly discussed his proposal, Julien Beckers of Belgium has vehemently opposed it, and has offered sanctuary in Belgium for all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who want it. Fearing that Beckers is Scarlotti's next target, May, Morse, and Hunter fly to Belgium. However, Beckers is actually a member of Hydra, his grandfather having created the original design for the 'splinter bombs' used by Scarlotti. Scarlotti murders Agent Walters, and five other agents are killed, before the S.H.I.E.L.D. team arrives and defeats the mercenaries, with May besting Scarlotti, and the bickering ex-spouses Morse and Hunter having to work together to take down the rest. The anti-S.H.I.E.L.D. Talbot, arriving to arrest the mercenaries, offers his condolences to May for their lost comrades.

A Fractured House

In the United States the episode received a 1.7/5 percent share among adults between the ages of 18 and 49, meaning that it was seen by 1.7 percent of all households, and 5 percent of all of those watching television at the time of the broadcast. It was watched by 4.44 million viewers.[10] The Canadian broadcast gained 2.41 million viewers, the third highest for that day, and the sixth highest for the week.[11]

Skye's final meeting with Ward was excellent. She sure knows how to push his buttons. Do you think Christian Ward is truly worse than Grant? He is a politician after all. I'm certainly curious to learn more.I know it's strange, but I actually felt bad for Ward when Skye told him they were turning him over to his brother. Still, he's got some nerve telling Coulson he's still part of the team. What?!? The guy is totally delusional but he got a rise out of Coulson. The safehouse in Bruges was compromised, giving us the most kick ass action sequence of the episode. I'll never believe Ming-Na Wen is 50. She's got to have some Kree DNA in her. Was that knife on a chain stuff cool or what? Bobbi and Hunter worked well together too. Plus, he saved her life once again. Trust me, at some point she's going to save her ex and rekindle their love. The chat between Simmons and Mack was touching. Mack calls her out for bailing on Fitz.

Speaker Paul D. Ryan was supposed to be the one person who could unite a fractured House Republican conference, but if the current budget battle is any indication, unity may not be an achievable goal.

Computer-aided design and additive manufacturing are revolutionizing oral and maxillofacial surgery. Current methods use virtual surgical planning sessions and custom plate milling via third-party vendors, which is costly and time-consuming, negating the effectiveness in acute facial trauma. This technical note describes a state-of-the-art in-house expedited digital workflow for computer-aided virtual fracture reduction, 3-dimensional printing, and preoperative reconstruction plate adaptation for the management of an acute mandible fracture. This process uses the computed tomographic scan a patient receives in the emergency department or clinic. The DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) data are transferred into US Food and Drug Administration-approved software, in which the fracture is segmented and virtually reduced based on condylar position, midline symmetries, and occlusion if present. The reduced mandible is then printed, which serves as a template for preoperative reconstruction plate adaptation. This method facilitates a virtually reduced fractured mandible, 3-dimensionally printed model, and ideally adapted plates ready for sterilization before surgery within 2 hours after DICOM upload.

Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) said he suffered a fractured pelvis, a punctured lung and several torn ligaments in his neck after falling 25 feet from a ladder on his property in Sarasota, Fla., last week.

The final piece lacks the overall tree element and once the image was fractured I felt this dispersed too widely. Re-visiting my work for this course I decided to re-work this piece prior to formal assessment.

Coulson realizes that this is all a trick to lure out SHIELD agents to believe they are heading a safe haven. We see Agent Walters enter a safe house in Bruges only to get killed by Scalotti on the orders of Beckers.

In the aftermath, Hunter volunteers to leave SHIELD as to not butt heads with Bobbi but Bobbi tells him that she will be okay if he decides to stay. Talbot arrives at the safe house to take away the captured HYRDRA agents and learns from May that 6 SHIELD agents were killed. It seems that Talbot is open to working with SHIELD now.

With some GOP lawmakers voting for his challenger, Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs, a conservative member of the House Freedom Caucus, McCarthy faces a challenge uniting a fractured conference that is still reeling from disappointing midterm election results.

So far, Christian seems to be holding up his end of the agreement and publically clearing SHIELD of all wrong-doing, but he seems like a potentially shifty guy. Family dinners in the Ward household must have been awkward affairs.

STATESBORO, Ga. - A Georgia man who appears to be a local college student has been charged with assaulting someone and causing him to fracture his skull outside a local fraternity house last week, officials announced Friday.

Police received a call around 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 13 for a report of a man who was unconscious at an address on Olympic Boulevard, near the Sigma Nu Fraternity, authorities said. Investigators determined that the victim was walking past the fraternity house when several people "engaged" him "as he was passing the house and then advanced toward the victim on the sidewalk," police said.

Kroymann then allegedly attacked the man, and caused him to fall and hit his head on the sidewalk. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where medical staff determined he had fractured his skull and suffered a brain bleed. The victim is expected to survive.

Meanwhile, Fitz, Simmons and Mack are trying to figure out why Hydra would target Beckers. They discover the splinter bombs the Hydra agent used were first conceived by Vincent Beckers, a Hydra scientist who worked with the Red Skull in the 1940's and Julien Beckers' grandfather. Realizing that Hunter, May and Morse are heading into a trap, Coulson tries to send word to the S.H.I.E.L.D. safe house in Bruges, but Hydra has already taken out the team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stationed there. Hunter barges into the safe house not long after carrying a case of beer and starts acting friendly towards the Hydra agents inside. This distraction gives Morse and May enough time to get into place, and the two of them crash through a window and start fighting Hydra. May goes after Marcus Scarlotti, the leader of the squad of Hydra agents, while Morse and Hunter take care of the rest. During the fight, Hunter saves Morse's life yet again, only this time she thanks him for it. Meanwhile, Scarlotti fights May using a whip-like weapon with a knife attached to its end. He uses this weapon to almost strangle May, but she gets out of it and is able to defeat him. Talbot and the military arrive soon after to take the surviving Hydra agents into custody, and reveals that Beckers was arrested trying to cross the border. Talbot asks may how many men she lost. May answers with "six," and Talbot tells her its always a shame to lose a good soldier and holds out his hand for her to shake.
